Former Thai PM Welcomes Lt. Gen. Hun Manet’s Visit

BANGKOK: Former Thai Prime Minister, Prayut Chan Ocha, the current Thai Minister of Defense, has welcomed Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, to Bangkok, Thailand.

“I met politely with General Prayuth Chan Ocha," the Lt. Gen. wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning, 20 September.

Details of the meeting will be announced by EAC News at a later date.

Former Royal Thai Army Commander-in-Chief, Prayut Chan Ocha, staged a coup to oust Yingluck Shinawatra in 2014 and nominated himself as Prime Minister. He was also re-elected as Prime Minister of Thailand in 2019 before recently being removed by the Thai Constitutional Court in accordance with the Constitution, which stipulates that the Prime Minister has a term of eight years. He is currently the Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Thailand.
